Bayou Bonfouca Residence

Slidell, Louisiana

Designed for an artist, this 2,500-square-foot residence offers a modern reinterpretation of southern Louisiana’s vernacular architecture. Set on a peninsula with expansive views of the bayou, marshlands, and abundant wildlife, the tall one-story home blends steep-roofed Creole influences with minimalist materials and broad glass walls. The result is a design that maximizes natural light, openness, and connection to the surrounding landscape, enhanced by an artesian pond, lap pool, and carefully curated furnishings.
