Tulane University’s new LEED Silver–certified football stadium was constructed on a former practice field and integrated with the adjacent Hertz Practice Facility to create a cohesive facade and Athlete’s Plaza. Drawing on the campus’s signature red brick and design elements from the former Sugar Bowl Stadium, the project was developed in collaboration with Gould Evans Affiliates.
“Volumes are compactly arranged to increase energy efficiency while providing ample interior light and view… The building occupies the street edge and placed a dramatic main entry with those of the nearby athletic center and baseball stadium.”
